And here it comes to the end…
The 15th edition of the International Tool Fair was organised in Vila de Gaia (Porto). As this event is associated with the country helding current presidency in the EU it was supposed to be organised one year ago. The pandemic started, the event was postponed, time passed and now we have Portugal helding International Tool Fair during Slovenian presidency 😉
The content of the ITF was very rich (even too rich taking into consideration that me and other participants felt overwhelmed with the number of activities in such a short time). We could select five trainings among around thirty, one Tool to Explore – my choice was the use of Minecraft in youthwork – and one visit to a local organisation. Topics of trainings were quite catchy like Escape4Change – The Phantom Menace and DigEmotion Map.
Apart from activities mentioned above we could present our tools during the Tool Fair. I hope it’s not difficult to guess what I presented – of course it was laughter yoga 🙂 Very good very good yeah if you guessed correctly! The entourage of Tool Fair was selected carefuly – municipality offered the old Monastery of Serra do Pilat, a symbol of Vila Nova de Gaia, for this event:
There was also time for networking and some sightseeing. We finished our project with dinner on a cruise on Douro – the river separating Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia. I wouldn’t be myself if I didn’t visit Sea Life Porto during my last day. As you can see it was worth visiting 😉
