Paweł presenting Stowarzyszenie Poczucia during the NGO Fair
Tomorrow will be the last day of the training course held in the beautiful mountains of Bakuriani in Georgia organised by the Close Europe Institute.
First of all during this week I learned how to create and facilite digital stories (and became a „beginner digital storytelling facilitator” 🙂 ). Katarzyna Kowalska taught us what is the digital storytelling method and how to use it. This method is aimed to present some important part of your life with the aid of your voice, photos, videos, images and (additionally but not obligatory) some music. In this approach it is not the spectator that is important but the creator – the video may not be even shown or published. There are some basic rules like showing the story from the perspective of the survivor, not the victim, focusing on your emotions and feelings and not being to exact in your visuals (it’s more the impression than the presentation of spoken words). The whole process was much reflectional and a little bit autotherapeutical. All of the participants had an opportunity to select the topic and develop it with the help of the facilitators. The topics touched by us were very various like participation in Erasmus Plus projects, home abuse, addicitions and passions. At the end we watched together the stories and discussed how we felt them.

The visit in the Rabati castle
Apart from storytelling there were also other good things I would like to mention 🙂 During the free afternoon we traveled almost 2 hours to visit the Rabati castle renovated a few years ago. Our neighbourhood was also quite encouraging – mountains covered in snow – so a few times I had a short hike. It was also very interesting to meet new people from different countries like Lithuania, Armenia, Italy, Romania and Ukraine, get to know about their organisations and think about some projects together. I had also the opportunity to sightsee Tbilisi before the project.
Ok but what is the most important I would like to share my story with you. I won’t say much about it, just watch it and leave a comment how you found it if you would like to share.
