Validity of PERSO.IN ® Five-Factor Personality Inventory and its Correlation with NEO-PI-R

The authors of this whitepaper were Radosław Czahajda and three persons developing the questionnaire: Daniel Rydel, Paweł Tempczyk and Patrycja Borowska. Our aim was to explain step by step how PERSO.IN ® had been created and present its advantage over NEO-PI-R.

As the Abstract states: “This paper presents the procedure of the design and validation of PERSO.IN ® Five-Factor personality inventory adapted from IPIP to the Polish language. The adaptation, validation (n=101) and normalization (n=1063) procedures as well as a comparative assessment with NEO-PI-R inventory are presented. The validity of PERSO.IN ® was evaluated using factor analysis, correlation with NEO-PI-R and analysis of differences among genders and occupations. PERSO.IN ® resulted in higher accuracy in 24 out of 30 subscales compared with NEO-PI-R inventory and was normalized using a representative sample. On the grounds that PERSO.IN ® is valid, normalized and available for scientific purposes free of charge , it is recommended to be used by scholars from various fields to advance the understanding of personality.”
