Yesterday I came back from the project A (self) learning journey that took place in Bansko, Bulgaria. The project was organized by the Bulgarian NGO Association WalkTogether in a very nice place – ski resort Bansko, in a Royal Bansko Aparthotel; we had the access to swimming pool, jaccuzzis and gym, which I really appreciated 🙂
Unfortunately I cannot say it was a good project 🙁 We were supposed to go deeper into ourselves, exploring our psyche. What caught my attention in the infopack was that we would learn some Chinese breathing techniques based on martial arts (and we didn’t even touch this topic). There was a lecture about astrology, human design (combination of Kabala, ) and other topics that I would find at least partially contradictory to psychology. I can accept other approaches if they are not harmful (although saying things like „pandemics and war in Ukraine started because Mars was in ascendent with Venus” I find disrespectful towards the victims of these events). In case of this project there were situations I felt I had to react, standing for the ones that needed support.

Apart from the training there was time for sightseeing (Sofia) and experiencing new things – during the free day we took a gondola to reach the longest slide in Europe 🙂 Although we all agreed it wasn’t that good as we had expected because you had to have our eyes closed during most of the slide not to get your eyes all watered 😀 We spent a lot of time together as I found the group supportive and witty. The group also appreciated my psychological aproach what was stated clear in the feedback I received:
„Pawel, I admired your wisdom, professionalism and unique sense of humor. I learned a lot from you <3.”
„Pawel, I admire your ability to confront people. I see it as your strenght. Also I’m happy I have met such a good specialist. I wish you to do meaningful job!”
„you’re the coolest university proffesor I’ve ever met”
